Last day of riding on Section begins today. We need to get back to Europe and ride two miles to the ferry and wait to be loaded. We’re using the high-speed catamarans this time. The restrooms are the first public ones we’ve seen in a while with sit-down stools and toilet paper.
The crossing is uneventful and the road is a high-speed toll road that accepts Visa cards. We arrive at Room Mate – Lola and ride down into the garage. Our fuel gauges show one bar, perfect for the flight to Buenos Aires. We empty the cases and lug everything up to our room. We’re done riding in Europe for this year. We walk around Malaga to find zippers and sewing supplies so Cathy can repair her jacket. It’s the last Friday night before Christmas and the streets are crowed with shoppers.
Our last group dinner will be a celebration of a wonderful and memorable trip. Not enough superlatives are available to describe it. We walk to a bar for a couple of beers and onto our restaurant. We tell stories, reminisce and celebrate until after midnight.
